Current Schedule

Small Groups

9 AM

Sunday

Small Groups are crucial to the health of our church and to the growth of individual Christians. It is in a small group setting that believers grow in their faith, find accountability, and are ministered to most effectively in times of need. You're welcome to join a bible study class each Sunday before the service. Guest Services can  assist you in finding one just for you.

Worship Celebration

10:15 AM

Sunday

Worship services at FBCCH are celebrative and free. They are held on Sunday mornings at 10:15 a.m. in the (mulit-purpose) Worship Center. Our worship style is progressively blended, meaning traditional songs of our historic past are blended with contemporary songs of today. On occasion, video and dramatic skits are used to enhance the service in preparation for the proclamation of God's Word. Jonathan Moore, Associate Pastor for Music & Worship at FBCCH, leads our praise and worship time along with the FBCCH Worship Choir, Praise Team, and Worship Band. Our lead pastor, Dr. Seth Hood, brings a relevant and inspiring message that is the high point of our worship time together.  A time of response follows the message.

House of Prayer

6:00 pm

Sunday

We count it a great privileged to see God moving at FBCCH. Hearts and lives are being changed for the glory and honor of Jesus. We believe House of Prayer is the catalyst for all that God is doing and He alone deserves the glory. House of Prayer is a time of personal and corporate prayer, but also a time when we sit silently abiding in His Presence allowing Him the opportunity to speak to us.

Mountaintop Ministries

6:30 pm

WEDNESDAY

Wednesday nights @ FBCCH offer a time of discipleship for all ages. Both Mountaintop Kids and Mountaintop Students meet together for a time of fellowship, worship, and Bible study. In addition, Co-Ed classes are available and both our Mountaintop Men's Ministry  and Mountaintop Women meet as well.

FAQS

  • What should I expect?

Perhaps you are re-engaging with church or attending church for the very first time. Perhaps you're an active church member who just moved to the mountain. Whatever your situation, we want to help with some of your questions before you visit Colbert Height's First Baptist Church.  Here's our attempt to guess what's on your mind and answer some of your questions. If we've missed something, let us know! You're probably not the only one with that question, so asking us will help us help you and future guests.

  • What's the culture like at FBCCH?

Sundays at the church are friendly and unassuming. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our special guest! Plan your visit here

Wednesday nights are also a big deal at our church! Activities and ministries for all ages take place on Wednesday nights.

  • What about my kids?

Childcare services are available for all weekly scheduled events. You can rest assured that your children will be taken care of by loving individuals. All volunteers who serve among kids at FBCCHhave completed background checks. You children will be both safe and loved.

  • How will I find my way around?

FBCCH Guest Services is located in the Main Foyer common area of our Worship Center. Guest Service volunteers, however, are available to asist you at any entry point of our campus.

  • Where do I park?

Parking is available on all sides of our campus and adjacent to each entrance way. Our worship center is located in the middle of our campus with its entrance centrally located on the North side. But any door you enter, volunteers are waiting to assist you in helping you find your way around.

  • Is there a stand and greet time during the service?

No. Our goal is to genuinely greet you before and after our service.

  • What should I wear?

You'll see people in everything from suits to shorts on Sundays. Our concern isn't what's on the outside, but what's on the inside. Come as you are. Jesus accepts us as we are when we come to Him. Why shouldn't we?

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
